One of the advantages of putting a company on Google Maps is that Google, as a search engine, looks first for websites it has addresses for, in order to show the user where the company is. That is why it is very important to ask your web designer or developer for this service when your site is being built, if you want to be first on Google. If you like to experiment, you can very easily add your company yourself.

Next, here is an example of a search where only one company has its location on Google Maps. As you can see in the image below, that one company has taken up a large part of the screen where the results appear.

How to put your company on Google Maps?
- 1. Type the address https://maps.google.com into your browser
- 2. In the top left corner, under the Google logo, there is a link "Put your business on Google Maps".
- 3. After that you will get Google's form, where you enter the required details about your company. I advise you to be as precise as possible so that Google "knows" in which searches to show your website as a result.
- 4. Once you have entered all the required details, a wait of 2-3 weeks follows. In that period Google checks whether the company really exists at that location. I advise you to "help" them a little with the check by putting the company's address on social networks - which is, after all, only logical.
- 5. After 2-3 weeks (mine arrived in 2 weeks) you get a letter that explains, in Serbian, everything that still has to be done.
- In short, the letter contains a PIN that you enter on the page https://www.google.com/local/add
- 6. Then comes one more wait, of a week at most, for Google to put you on the maps automatically, and that is it
NOTE: Being on Google Maps only makes sense if clients come to your premises. If you offer products or services in the field, this kind of advertising makes no sense.
